Several new locations of famous fast-food chains are gracing the Bay Area.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts opened in the Concord Willows Shopping Center on April 24.

In-N-Out Burger opened in Pleasant Hill on Contra Costa Blvd on May 17.

Previously, the closest Krispy Kreme location was in Pinole, and the closest In-N-Out location was in Oakland or San Ramon.

“We’re excited to be opening a new location in Concord,” said Jason Sansom, director of operations for Krispy Kreme. “It’s a great opportunity for us to share our love for doughnuts with the Concord community, and to get some folks back to work at the same time.”

The Miramonte student body met the news with excitement and anticipation.

“I am very excited,” said senior Sara Rezaie. “Both stores will greatly benefit our community and get really good business.”

“I’m really excited that I don’t have to drive so far for In-N-Out,” said junior Meghan Marks.

“Before, the only opportunities I had to get an In-N-Out burger were when I was on my way to Tahoe.”

“I think it’s super exciting,” said junior Lillian Malmberg. “The student population will give Krispy Kreme plenty of business.”

Krispy Kreme is located in the Concord Willows Shopping Center, at 1991 Diamond Blvd in Concord and is open weekends 5:30 a.m.-11 p.m.
