This Saturday, Bay Area residents will have the opportunity to take part in The Color Vibe 5k at the Solono County Fairgrounds in Vallejo. This event is a unique experience where participants get blasted with “magical color powder” at multiple stations during the course. Other Color Vibe races take place from as far as New Zealand to neighboring Canada.

What makes this event so popular today is the idea of being blasted with a multitude of brightly hued powders. To add to the excitement, participants receive color packets prior to the race that are used during the finish line party to blast fellow runners. Although it is a technical 5k, participants aren’t required to run, just have fun!

Cost for entry into the race is around $50 and includes a Color Vibe t-shirt, a color packet, race bib, prize, and promo products from local sponsors. Upon registration, there is a choice of charity that you can donate to, as well as a place to put a possible team name if you sign up in a group. The deadline to sign up is this Friday, so get cracking if you want an amazing experience!
