Miramonte Students Take Trips During Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving break is the first break from school after it starts, so students are anxious to get away for the week. Mirador looks at Miramonte students who traveled to cool places for this holiday.

Many students traveled to the east coast and braved the cold weather and snow.

“I visited New York with my family, and though it was really cold, it was super fun,” junior Francesca Calderon said.

“I went to Washington D.C. with my family for Thanksgiving. We went to see a lot of museums. We went to the Air and Space Museum which was really cool and the Spy Museum. We went to the Smithsonians and took a bike tour of all the monuments and memorials,” sophomore Hana Neugebauer said.

“It was really fun to go the Philadelphia because it snowed and there was really good Philly cheese steaks,” junior Olivia Guidotti said.

Other students stayed local or hit the slopes on the first ski day of the season in Tahoe. “I painted a mural, watched three seasons of parks and recreation, and spent a few days in Tahoe also, where I ran into friends on my first run of the season,” junior Ali Ingrey said.
