Last Wednesday and Friday, the Track and Field team competed at Campolindo High School for the league title in the DFAL championships. Miramonte and Acalanes are now  co-champions for the league. The Prelims were held Wednesday, which was Miramonte’s less successful meet out of the two. With a time of 4:30.55 Tyler Hanson ‘13 placed first in the boys mile. Georgia Roden ‘15 also took first in the girls 800 meter race with a time of 2:29.61. Mark Tamminga ‘13 placed third in the boys 800 Meter run with a time of 1:59.71.

The finals were held last Friday, Rebekah Ent ‘13 and Kera Deakins ‘13 came in with close times in the 400 meter dash. Ent took first with a time of 60.04 and Deakins came in second at 60.06. Hanson took first once again in the boys mile with a time of 4:23.73. In other news, Ent is unable to finish the rest of the season due to multiple stress fractures in her toes. The NCS tri-valley meet will be held this Saturday at Granada High School in Livermore.
