Miramonte’s Offense Shines

Miramonte won big away over Alameda 45-7 in their final non-league game last Friday.

Miramonte’s offense has proven to be a force as they have now scored 134 points in the past three games.

“The offense played great tonight. We moved the ball well and finished drives off pretty handedly. We have a lot of depth on this team which makes our team very versatile and hard to contain,” said Quarterback Nick Sheehan ‘13.

Sheehan ‘13 threw two touchdown passes and ran for one. Zati Williams ‘13 caught one of these for 59 yards and the other went to Marshall Deutz ’13- a 35-yard bullet down the left sideline.

As impressive as the offense was, the defense was equally as good by either stopping Alameda on downs or getting takeaways. The Matadors intercepted four passes and one of them went to Connor Bruen ‘13 who took it all the way back to the end zone.

Make sure to catch Miramonte play Dublin next week away at 7 p.m. in their league opener.
