Dublin defeated Miramonte, 29-21 in the DFAL league opener last Friday.

Dublin’s Ondre Rudolph ‘13 ran for 341 yards and three touchdowns on 52 carries to carry his team to victory.

While Miramonte held Dublin to seven points for almost the first three quarters, the Gaels finally broke free, scoring three touchdowns, all from Rudolf.

However, the Matadors fought back valiantly as Nick Sheehan ‘13 threw two touchdowns in the fourth but it just wasn’t enough. Dublin finally secured the victory after a failed onside kick attempt from Miramonte.

“I was really disappointed that we lost because I thought we were the better team,” said receiver Will Fuller ‘14. “I think we could’ve played a lot better on offense, but I’m sure we will fix those holes as we get ready for the big game next week.”

The annual Miramonte vs. Campolindo rivalry game is set to take place this Friday at Miramonte at 7 p.m. Make sure to get there early because the stadium will be filled up by gametime.
