The varsity men’s water polo team traveled to Dougherty Valley yesterday and destroyed their team 17-2.

The starters played for only two minutes before Coach James Lathrop began to sub. “Although we went into this game confident, it was a good win for us because our bench players got to practice their skills in a game scenario,” said Nick Coufal ‘14.

The boys depart for Southern California this afternoon to compete in the S&R tournament. Their first game is tomorrow at 1:00 p.m., and the Mats will be playing against some of the best teams in the nation, including powerhouse Mater Dei.
