Miramonte trampled Dougherty Valley 41-3 last Friday at home in the annual Homecoming football game.
In his first game since returning from a shoulder injury, Miramonte quarterback, Drew Anderson ‘13 showed no sign of rust as he dominated the Dougherty Valley defense.
Anderson threw for three touchdowns on the first three drives. The first went to Marshall Duetz ‘13 for 24 yards, then Will Fuller ‘14 for two and then a strike to Zati Williams for 35 yards.
By half time, the score was 27-3 after a halfback pass from Conor Bruen 13’ to a wide-open Dominic Paoletti ‘14 for a 55-yard score and from there the Matadors kept on rolling.
Anderson threw his final touchdown of the night on a scramble to Fuller for 22 yards. He threw for a total of 260 yards on the game and Williams ended with 113 yards.
