The Men’s Lacrosse team played Tamalpais at home on Tuesday, March 5, and defeated the Hawks 12-5 to earn their first win of the season.

They boy’s record is now 1-2, having lost to Oak Ridge High School 9-10 and Davis Senior High School 2-13.

“I don’t think losing our first two games means anything for the big picture of the season. We’ll come back from those like we just did with our win against Tam,” Sam Tuttle ‘15 said. “It’s going to be a good season.”

This year the boys have a new coach, ex-Navy Seal Dave Winford. He put the team through hellish conditioning during the preseason in order to prepare them for the tough competition they will face in the upcoming weeks.

“Last year we didn’t do any [conditioning], and this year we’ve done a lot, so it was really tough. It will pay off though,” Sam Essabhoy ‘15 said.

The Mat’s play Friday, March 8 at 7:00 at home vs. Jesuit High School.
