Miramonte Softball Slides to Success

Nicola Gonzales, Business Manager

Miramonte softball started off the 2013 season with a hearty whack of the bat and two wins to boot. The roster is filled up with nine girls new to varsity and nine returners.

The beginning of the season consisted of conditioning and focusing on skills. The team has done a lot of team bonding activities like going to Santa Cruz together. Recently, the girls have been working on team defense.

“It’s been good. We’re all working really hard, which is nice,” Claire Ramer ‘14 said.

The DFAL league is really good at softball this year, and Miramonte has stepped up their game as compared to last year. So far this season the girls have won against Elsie Allen and Analy, and lost to Tennyson, Analy and Liberty. The next game will be against Ygnacio Valley today at 3:15.
