After the men’s lacrosse team lost to Jesuit Sacramento 11-15 on Friday, they pulled out a big 16-10 win in their first league game over Dublin on Tuesday, March 12.

They are now going into their second league game this Friday, March 15, against arch rival Campolindo. Both teams have a 2-3 overall record so far this season, however they differ in league play. Miramonte is 1-0 after beating Dublin, while Campo is 0-1 after losing 12-6 last Friday to Acalanes.

The Mats have been preparing for the last couple of days in practice for a tough and competitive game. Because it’s they’re playing a huge rival, there is an even greater motivation to come away with a win.

“We’re ready to go,” Mac Lavis ‘14 said. “We had a really good week of practice. Nobody works harder than what Winford has us doing, so we’ll be ready. If we play our game we can win.”
