Strong Tennis Season Continues

Not much has changed for Miramonte tennis in the past few weeks. Last week the Mats cruised to victory over Piedmont, Las Lomas, and Alhambra, and on Tuesday crushed Dublin 9-0 to move to 17-0, 7-0 DFAL for the season.

Luke Bohuslav ’13 has remained steady at the No. 1 singles position, going6-1, 6-1, against Las Lomas and 6-4, 6-4 against Dublin. “We’re looking forward to finishing up the second half of our league season season which should be challenging,” he said.

The double teams have also been playing strongly, with all three teams winning their matches against Dublin soundly.

Miramonte plays Campolindo at home March 28 before heading into spring break. After spring break four more games remain before the playoff tournaments start. The Mats are hoping to maintain their undefeated record and prepare to repeat their overall NCS title from last year.

“DFALs is in late April and we’re getting ready by taking advantage of all the practices we get and looking for things to improve on in our matches,” Bohuslav said.
