This week the Miramonte golf team faced Alhambra and Campolindo.

Crushing Alhambra 230-203 on Tuesday, they then continued on to play our rivals. They suffered a tough loss, 191-196 against Campolindo on Thursday.

“It was the first time losing to them in the past six matches,” Kevin Swimmer โ€˜13 said, “they had their number five player career in the last group for the win.”

The team had a successful personal records, with captain Henry Cassriel ’14 shooting a 36 followed by Patrick Fabian ’13 with a 38, Swimmer 39, Scott Guidotti ’15 41, and Taylor Campbell ’13 43.

As the season has progressed, the team has become more competitive and ready to win future matches. “I know we can win the league tournament if we start playing better,” Swimmer said.

Seniors have high hopes for their last season on the green with their fellow Matadors.

“Hopefully we can make it to NCS so I can end my golf career on a good note,” Fabian said.

The Mats’ next match is at the Trans Bay Tournament at Dollar Ranch on Monday, April 15.
