Men’s Lacrosse Seeks DFAL Title

The men’s lacrosse team lost their first league game of the season to Acalanes 16-2 on Friday, April 12. Nick Sheehan ‘13 and John Pugliesi ‘13 were the only two to score for the Mats.

Because of the loss, Miramonte fell to second place in DFAL behind the first place Dons, who remain undefeated in league. They don’t plan to stay there, however. The team’s goal is to win DFAL and move on to NCS playoffs.

En route to achieve this goal, the Matadors traveled to Alhambra on Tuesday, April 16 and destroyed the Bulldogs 13-1.

Players got opportunities to score and play more, when in other games they usually wouldn’t.

“I scored and so did Sam [Essabhoy]. It was a good game to apply things we’ve worked on in practice, but it wasn’t that competitive,” Sam Tuttle ‘15 said.

Tonight the team will take on Dublin at home at 7:00 p.m.
