Track and Field Win Against Dougherty Valley

The Miramonte track and field team had their third league meet, against Dougherty Valley at home, last Wednesday. The girls did especially well in the short distance races. In the 400 meter race Kera Deakins ‘13 took first with a time of 59.58 and Christina Romak ‘13 came in a close second with 1:01.39. The boys also did well in the 400 meter. Grant Miller ‘15 took first with an impressive time of 54.46. The team also strived in their field events. Georgia Roden ‘15 came in first in the high jump with a height of 5”1’. The team’s next league meet will be held at Acalanes High School on Wednesday, May 1.
