Women’s Lacrosse Lose to Acalanes Again

On Tuesday May 7, the women’s lacrosse team lost to the Acalanes Dons for the second time this season. Although the final score was 11-15, the Mats made great improvements since the last time they played the Dons, when they lost by 11 goals.

The Lady Mats were winning 8-7 by the start of the half, but as the Dons started scoring, they kept scoring. Acalanes managed to score eight goals in the third quarter, leaving the Mats down by seven. In the last two minutes however, the Mats came back and scored three goals, making the final score 11-15.

Since it was Senior Night for the team, all seniors got a chance to play. Goalie Maddy Bush ‘13 had more than ten saves and captain Lauren Dougherty ‘13 played great offense as well.

The women’s lacrosse team plays on Friday May 10 against Alhambra for their last league match before NCS.
