The Matadors dominated the Wildcats last night at home, with a final score 3-1.

In the first league game for the volleyball squad this season, the Mats were hoping for a win to start league play. After a close first game that the Mats won 25-19, the night looked like it would be a tough struggle for both teams. However, the Mats easily took the second game 25-11. The third game was a comeback for Dougherty Valley, who won 25-22. But in the end the Mats triumphed, winning the last game 25-13 to secure the win.

Lauren Foster ‘15, Emily Fabian ‘16, and Kasey Sorenson ‘14 played outstanding, with Foster tallying multiple kills.

“It was a good game for us. Everyone got the win. And league wins are always more important,” Foster said.
