Mens Soccer Loses Against Acalanes

Maddie Geary , Staff Writer

The Miramonte mens soccer team played Acalanes last Friday in a tense game that ended in a disappointing loss and an even more disappointing injury. Reece Roberts ’15 broke his wrist in the first half and will likely be out for the rest of the season. This is a huge disappointment for Miramonte because they lost their best center defensive midfielder. With Roberts out of the game, Miramonte tried their hardest but couldn’t score. Although their goalie, Garrett Johnson ’16, only let in one goal, Miramonte was unable to tie it up. Kyle Visher ’14 played striker and had a phenomenal game despite not being able to put it away. The Visher twins played a superb game, making many good plays.

On Wednesday, Miramonte will face off against their rival Campolindo and will practice very hard in preparation for it. Their game is away at Campo at 6:15 pm.
