Lady Mats Prepare to Play Campo

Courtney Attard, Staff Writer

Tuesday night, the Lady Mats destroyed Alhambra 4-1 at the Matadome.

“We started off slow, but then came back scoring 4 goals,” senior Kayla Sigaroudi ’14 said.

“It was probably the best game we’ve played so far in terms of working together. We were cohesive and had a good flow,” captain Sarah Mills ’14 said.

Tonight Miramonte takes on Campo. If they win, the records will be tied and Miramonte will be ranked ahead of Campo.

“We brought on a lot of freshman but they have adapted fast. Even with the majority of the team being underclassmen, we are really proud that they are stepping it up and pushing themselves in a new environment, improving our team this year,” captain Mali Tehaney ‘14 said.
