Andrew Deaver, Staff Writer

The Miramonte Matadors men’s soccer team made history this year by making NCS for the first time in eight years. Last week the Matadors clenched their playoff position by trouncing Las Lomas in a 4-0 rout. The Mats obtained a record of five wins, four losses and six ties. Yesterday the Matadors played De Anza High School in the first round of the NCS playoffs and fell 2-0 at the end of regulation. The Matadors were one of two teams to tie De Anza this season. The Dons had a record of 20 wins, two ties and no losses. Though the Mats may have lost the game, they won the competition of best haircuts.
