Cross Country Dominates at World’s Largest High School Meet

Cross country ran in Los Angeles last Friday at Mt. San Antonio college, where the world’s largest three mile cross country invitational is held. Both the varsity girls and boys placed first in the Division Three which contained 25 teams and about 160 runners in each race.

The varsity boys that ran were seniors Tyler Hansen, Dillon Reed, Mark Tamminga, andand juniors Charlie Zamanian, Jimmy McFeely, Miles McCaulou and Jeff Lee. Seniors Ariel Thomas and Ashley Kawaguchi, juniors Andrea Tamminga and Lindsey Buckle, and sophomores Sondra Abruzzo and Georgia Roden ran in the girls varsity race.

Hansen took first with a time of 15:39, Reed came in second at 16:03, Tamminga placed third with 16:07 and Zamanian took fifth with a time of 16:35. The girls placed ranging from slots from 14th to 52nd.
