Hello! My name is Derek Youn, and I’m one of the staff writer for The Mirador. During freshmen year I took Oral Interpretation/Public Speaking and found that I had more of a passion for expressing words on paper rather than orally. Which led me to take Journalism 1 last year, where Mr. Avery helped foster my journalism writing abilities with his spirited teaching style and his educational yet gratifying units. Now I’m here, in room 441, and I am excited to become a part of The Mirador.
