As the third quarter of the 2024-25 school year comes to a close, the next batch of rally leaders for the 2025-26 school year have been chosen to replace Jack Rohr, Ashley Williams, and Katrina White. After a competitive set of interviews, Cassie Porter and the incoming ASB leaders have elected the three rising seniors to carry on the rally leader legacy. Here is a short introduction to each of them:
Charlie Metherd: A passionate student here at Miramonte and a member of both the varsity football and lacrosse teams. His leadership abilities and passion for Miramonte athletics is clear through his commitment to the Substance Free Athletics Club, where he serves as the president. Metherd is proficient in creating relationships and fostering a sense of community and inclusiveness.“I plan to implement a school-wide variety of spirit, where everyone is involved, implementing more activities and making students enjoy school more,” Metherd said.
Avrey Freer: Outside of her involvement in varsity soccer and track, Freer is a skilled leader. She works as a team lead for MCC Kids Camp, is the public speaking captain, and is the Latin club’s Master of Communications. She brings a strong set of diverse skills and energy that will elevate the upcoming rallies.“I look forward to creating new games and activities that will create a fun and inclusive environment at Miramonte,” Freer said.
Sawyer Bohlig: A standout athlete, Bohlig is a Northwestern lacrosse commit and a member of the Lady Mats soccer team. Bohlig’s intensity on the field and in the classroom reflects her determination and drive. Her enthusiasm and involvement in school events can be seen as an inspiration to all. “As a rally leader next year, I want to make Miramonte as fun, spirited, and united as possible—whether through rallies, school activities, or sports. Avery, Charlie, and I are already brainstorming ideas for rallies, videos, and games, and we can’t wait for everyone to be a part of them!” Bohlig said.
These students have stood out for their leadership capabilities as well as their passion for the school. By building on the foundation created by Rohr, Williams, and White, Bohlig, Freer, and Metherd can achieve their lofty goals for everyone to look forward to.
As we introduced our future rally leaders, it is only right to highlight and recognize our outgoing rally leaders.
Jack Rohr: Whether in the pool, by the grill, or on the golf course, Rohr has made the most of his time at Miramonte. Rohr is engaged in sports and is a four-year water polo player and two-year member of the golf team. As a rally leader, Rohr is especially proud of the team’s ability to keep rallies fun and engaging while taking on the challenge of organizing five rallies this year—an increase from the usual four.
Ashley Williams: A true leader both in and out of athletics. Williams is a tri-sport athlete and excels in water polo, soccer, and swimming. Outside of sports, she was the Broadcast Director of the Mirador. Williams takes the most pride in expanding the rally leader’s social media presence and expanding rally activities to include all grades.
Katrina White: A dedicated athlete, White plays club soccer for Walnut Creek Surf and was a captain of the soccer team. This year, she played an essential role in bringing Miramonte rallies to life. She is happy with the effort she put into the rally videos, which built a more dynamic and engaging atmosphere.
The intensity these senior rally leaders have brought to this school year has left a clear impact on Miramonte’s culture, and the class of ’26 leaders have big shoes to fill. From organizing an unexpected five rallies to working hard to make all grades feel included, they have built a strong base for Bohlig, Freer, and Metherd to continue building on their legacy.
